June 2 - Vehicle Tactics

This one day Vehicle Tactics Course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of how to utilize and maximize survivability around vehicle engagements.

Students will be instructed on the ballistic considerations of vehicles, including demonstrating capabilities of rounds on glass and various areas and parts of the vehicle.

Students will be both instructed and run drills on movement, angles of engagement, threat management, exiting a vehicle and safety factors.

The range allows for up to 270 degree engagment around the vehicle.

This course requires shooters to be confident in their shooting and physical abilities.

This course covers:

- shooting fundamentals / safety

- shooting positions / alternative shooting positions

- safe & efficient movement / body mechanics

- vehicle employment / vehicle cover

- interior vehicle engagements

- exterior vehicle engagements

- engagements into a vehicle

- malfunctions / reloading

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

• A functional and practical pistol.
• Spare weapons systems or parts.
• Holster must attach via the belt (paddle holsters are not allowed). Holsters must provide an active or passive retention device and be able to keep the firearm in place while running or moving in and out of awkward positions.
• Hearing Protection, electronic is preferred.
• IFAK with Tourniquet required
• Eye protection
• Each student should have a minimum of 5 working magazines for both pistol
  
• A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the system(s)
